Sherina’s father works at a discount store in Jakarta. He quits his job to work at a big plantation in western Java and the family moves from Jakarta to the boonies. At her new school, 7-year old Sherina is bullied by a boy named Sadam, who turns out to be the son of her father’s employer. During a short holiday, the two get stuck with each other. They go on all sorts of wild adventures, but then Sadam and Sherina are kidnapped. Sherina manages to escape. Will she also manage to rescue Sadam and save their families from financial ruin?

The film was a blockbuster children’s hit in Indonesia and the soundtrack is known and beloved by every Indonesian child.
